The SPHS strives for a 90% live release. Early detection and treatment of disease has enabled our shelter team to manage the health of our animals, resulting in more adoptions. Animals brought to our shelter are individually assessed for illness and sociability, and subsequently receive the necessary care and coaching before being placed for adoption.
Since receiving its branch status in 1973, the SPHS has successfully placed thousands of animals in forever homes.
The SPHS is a registered charity. All donations received by the SPHS remain with the SPHS to support the shelter and our work in the community.
